Emergency Response

RED CROSS - For immediate help or life-threatening situations: Call 000. For help with damage: Call the State Emergency Service on 132 500. For government assistance: Visit disasterassist.gov.au for available support. For mental health enquiries or people in crisis: Call Lifeline on 13 11 14. Financial and Legal Assistance

AFCA - Australia’s financial ombudsman, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) may be able to offer support and information to individuals financially impacted by natural disasters. AFCA Significant event hotline: 1800 337 444

COLLECTION HOUSE -  Collection House & Lion Finance have a range of Hardship Assistance options available for customers affected by the NSW floods. Customers can reach out to our Customer Assist Team on 1800 051 753 or customerassist@collectionhouse.com.au

NATIONAL DEBT HELPLINE - A not-for-profit financial counselling service that helps people tackle their debt problems. It is a free, independent and confidential service. Call 1800 007 007 to speak to a financial counsellor. Read More

QUEENSLAND STATE GOVERNMENT - Helpful information and support for small businesses and primary producers recovering after a natural disaster. Read More 

SERVICE NSW - Service NSW provides access to a range of services for customers and businesses. This includes financial assistance such as relief packages, emergency services including information on evacuation and recovery centres, and other disaster assistance. Read More

Financial Services

ABA - Australian banks are supporting communities in New South Wales impacted by torrential rain and floods in parts of the state. Read More

ANZ - Natural disaster support is available for ANZ customers and communities to get back on top of things. Customers impacted can contact their ANZ Relationship Manager, or call our dedicated hotline on 1800 149 549. Support package for customers affected by New South Wales floods ANZ insurance customers can call 13 16 14. Read More

CBAEmergency Assistance support is available for customers and businesses in New South Wales flood-affected areas. CBA are encouraging affected customers to discuss their individual circumstances by phoning 1800 314 695. Business customers to call 1800 314 695 or speak with their CBA relationship manager. CBA's incidents webpage will also be updated as more support is added (including extending to other areas as required), and shows current branch closures due to the flooding. Read more

NAB - Disaster Relief Fund of up to $3 million to help people affected by floods across NSW, with $2,000 grants available immediately to impacted customers and colleagues. Read More

WESTPACFlood Support Fund of up to $10 million to help customers in flood-affected areas across New South Wales and South-East Queensland, including emergency grants of $3,000 for households, and $5,000 for businesses and extended its emergency assistance package to customers and businesses in flood-affected areas in South-East Queensland. CARERS NSW - Support information for carers in NSW that have been impacted by severe flooding, especially in Northern NSW and North Western Sydney. Read More


IAG - Customers are encouraged to make contact as soon as possible if they need to lodge a claim, access emergency accommodation or request technical property assistance with a verified building specialist. Read More

TELSTRA - Information about support and disaster relief for NSW customers is now available. Read More   


TRANSURBAN - Customers impacted by NSW floods are encouraged to call the Linkt Assist team on 13 33 31. Support may be available for more time to pay for toll road travel, payment plans, advising state enforcement groups and other toll road operators of your situation (with your consent), toll credit support* (for active Linkt accounts only). Read More *Toll credit support is available for customers to cover the cost of essential toll road travel, where taking a free alternative route isn’t reasonably possible.

ESSENTIAL ENERGY - Provding information and regular updates on the flood update section on their website. Read More

MOMENTUM ENERGY – There’s financial support available for customers affected by floods along the east coast. Call 1300 662 778 (8am-6pm, weekdays), to speak to someone about how we can help, or send an email. You can find more information and resources here.

ORIGIN - Providing financial assistance options for customers including payment extensions and hardship support including no disconnections for customers who have been affected by the floods and a pause on credit default listing. SYDNEY WATER - Offering assistance on fixed charges through 'allowances and rebates on your bill' section. In addition, customers can be assessed for Payment Assistance on the water usage charges. More information can be found on the Sydney Water website under Help with your billRead More
